Saudi players to receive Rolls Royce after historic World Cup win vs Argentina

Saudi players will receive one Rolls Royce each after reigning supreme over Argentina at the FIFA World Cup 2022. 

According to Fox News, each member of the football team will reportedly be gifted a Rolls Royce Phantom. Automotive enthusiast magazine Car and Driver stated on its website that a 2023 Rolls Royce Phantom’s list price starts at almost $460,000 (over P26 million). 

Saudi Arabia made history on Nov. 22 after clinching a victory over two-time FIFA World Cup champions Argentina (2-1), which is led by football star Lionel Messi. 

TIME reported that the Saudi government declared the next day a national holiday to mark their win.

In the same article, Fox News noted that “it was the first time Saudi Arabia has won an opening match at the World Cup and their second win in their last five appearances.” The team beat Egypt 2-1 in their last match at the World Cup in 2018. 

Saudi’s Green Falcons are set to face Poland in the second game of the World Cup in Qatar next.
