What is Art Fair Philippines?
Art Fair Philippines is an annual platform for exhibiting and selling modern and contemporary Philippine visual art to Filipinos. Helmed by Philippine Art Events, Inc. (PAEI), the fair aims to mirror the vibrant local art scene and generate support for Filipino artists.
The exhibit canceled their 2020 physical event due to the pandemic and opted for a virtual exhibit and a series of livestreamed talks on the digital side of the art world, such as NFTs, crypto art, and cryptocurrency.
They also work with galleries rather than individual artists, though unsolicited applications may inquire via [email protected].
When is it happening?
The Art Fair Philippines team has shared on Dec. 5 that the expansive exhibit will welcome 2022 with a one-week event happening from Feb. 23 to March 2, 2022.
Will it be a virtual or a physical event?
As for this burning question, we can't say for sure yet. Art Fair Philippines has kept mum on their next move for the coming year, but with events such as FotoMotoPH and the reopening of Ayala Museum and the National Museum - the chances aren't unlikely.
