Hailing all the way from the scenic riverside of Tamsui Old Street in Taipei, Taiwan, Original Cake has finally come over to Eastwood City, ready to delight customers with its delicious selection of addictive soft, tasty and fluffy cakes. Its cakes are so good they have become legendary among Filipinos who continue to flock and line up at its store, just to take a bite of this favorite Taiwanese delicacy. The cakes are affordable, too, with many flavors under P200.

Bringing its signature chicken wings in delicious flavors, Frankie’s New York Buffalo Wings is definitely a welcome addition, especially to casual diners looking for a quick bite or something to enjoy at their home. Frankie’s is not all about buffalo wings though, its arsenal also includes lip-smacking burgers, French fries, onion rings and a delicious array of pasta dishes.

Frankie’s New York Buffalo Wings is located at Eastwood Citywalk 1 near Eastwood Central Plaza and is open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.

BirdBox

From making its debut as a takeout counter to opening its in-line stores, this fried chicken specialty store has proven, time and again, it is worth the hype. Satisfying its legion of fans with its signature boneless fried chicken that can be topped with varieties of Asian-inspired sauces and sides and comes in a box, BirdBox has become a destination for those looking for affordable yet filling meals, with prices ranging from P149 to P169. Must-tries include the crowd favorite Tebasaki, the spicy Korean-inspired Yangnyeom, and Japanese curry-filled Kare. Delicious toppings and Asian spices are also available, including kimchi, furikake (Japanese seasoning made with seaweed and sesame) and shichimi (Japanese chili powder), though the most popular is the soft-boiled egg called Onsen Egg.

BirdBox is located at the 2F of Eastwood TechnoPlaza and is open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Ray’s Hot Chicken

Coming in hot by serving the metro’s first Nashville-style chicken, this new concept from the brains behind the widely popular Zark’s is ready to bring the heat to comfort dining with its selection of spicy fried chicken, chicken wings and chicken burgers. Diners must be cautioned, everything comes in hot and in bold flavors, though there are milder varieties for picky eaters. Must-tries include the signature Hot Chicken, which can be ordered with rice or in a sandwich, and the Hot Chicken Sandwich, which can be ordered in double or with bacon. Don’t forget the hot wings available in four and eight pieces, and equally delicious sides such as nachos, buttered corn and fries.
