Looking for an international destination for your revenge travel? Why not take a page out of the books of Bea Alonzo, Glaiza de Castro, Solenn Heussaff, and more and fly to Spain for your summer getaway? As they say, Vive la vida al maximo!

With over 300 days of sunshine each year and more than 3,000 beaches, Spain is a perfect beach holiday destination. But this beautiful country isn't all about its enviable beaches—there's much to explore like its vibrant nightlife, fabulous food, and rich cultural heritage sites.

Don't know where to start your trip to this sunny country? Here are some tourist spots approved by local celebrities that you should add to your list.

Gothic Quarter

In the heart of Barcelona is the Gothic Quarter, a neighborhood echoing the charm and history of the city. This quarter houses Barcelona's old synagogues, Pablo Picasso's old stomping grounds, and Barcelona's oldest restaurant Can Culleretes.

Last year, actress Glaiza de Castro reunited with her Irish fiancé David Rainey in Spain and spent a day roaming the Gothic Quarter.

Casa Mila

Casa Mila, popularly known as La Pedrera, was designed by architect Anton Gaudi in the 1900s. This UNESCO World Heritage Site was first built as an apartment building for a bourgeois Barcelona family. Today, it still functions as private homes for a lucky few individuals.

As part of their Spain adventures, celebrity doctors Hayden Kho and Vicki Belo basked in the beauty of Casa Mila in Barcelona in 2018.

The distinct building has a rooftop offering the most breathtaking views of the colorful city and is also the venue of unmissable jazz concerts.

Ronda

Known as one of the loveliest towns in Andalucia, Ronda is famed worldwide for its rugged scenery with views of the Serrania de Ronda mountains, the Puente Nuevo, and the deep El Tajo gorge.

In 2021, Solenn Heussaff and Nico Bolzico went on a trip with baby Thylane Bolzico to the charming town and posed for a family picture.

This town is also the birthplace of modern Spanish bullfighting, so its historic bullrings are a must-see.

El Rastro

During her short trip to Spain this 2022, Kapuso actress Bea Alonzo dropped by El Rastro de Madrid, the capital city's most famous open-air flea market.

On weekends, the market sees over 100,000 people sprawling for antiques, vintage furniture, war memorabilia, records, paella pans, and more from its over 700 stalls.

Nearby the La Latina, the area where El Rastro is held, are must-try tapas bars like the La Paloma, Los Caracoles, and Aceitunas Jiménez.

Marbella

In 2018, Richard Gutierrez and Sarah Lahbati went on a picturesque bike tour in the Spanish city of Marbella.

Other than its glorious beaches, Marbella offers bike tours to visitors, so they can stroll through the city's beautiful parks, old town, the Salvador Dali square, and the fisherman's village.

Segovia

Another UNESCO World Heritage site, Segovia offers unique sites—from an old Jewish quarter to grand mansions, and the Alcázar fortress.

Inside the city are a host of restaurants serving local specialties such as roast-sucking pig, milk-fed lamb, and trout.

In December 2021, the walled city was one of Sofia Andres' destinations with her beau Daniel Miranda.
