Vacay à la Barretto: Marjorie and Julia's refreshing Bulacan rest house is up for rent to the public

Ever wondered what's it like to go on a quick getaway à la celebrity? Good news: Mother-daughter duo Marjorie and Julia Barretto have put their River Garden Resthouse for rent to the public.

In case you still didn't know, Marjorie and Julia put their rest house up for rent in November last year. And just last September, they listed it on Airbnb for three weekends—Oct. 15, 22, and 29—with the celebrities personally welcoming the guests on the first night.

Located at Calumpit, Bulacan, the refreshing and serene abode has been Barrettos' go-to place for bonding and relaxation for over 23 years.

"The River Garden Resthouse has been my family’s go-to place to rest and unwind," Marjorie wrote in an Instagram post last September. "The house is incredibly special not just for me but for my whole family. I have carefully designed and furnished every part of it to make it a home away from home."

This luxurious villa offers four spacious and cozy bedrooms with eight queen-sized beds and en-suite bathrooms each perfect for family gatherings and private vacations away from the city.

Guests can surely have the best time dining with the gang or simply resting at the resort's spacious outdoor lounge area where they can also enjoy a view of the Angat river. Many antique furniture and accessories around the rest house will welcome guests for a vintage type of stay with a Filipino touch.

Their bamboo-made open kitchen allows guests to cook with a complete set of equipment. Visitors can shop for fresh fish from the fishermen nearby the resthouse.

It also has amenities to offer such as a large circular private pool and a gazebo by the river for relaxation.

Marjorie revealed in her YouTube vlog last November that she started building the property 23 years ago through her cash prize from ABS-CBN's then-noontime show segment “Pera o Bayong”. She herself chose to make the rest house look like a provincial place so her family and visitors can enjoy a simple and homey stay.

"I am incredibly happy to now share this special space with the world through Airbnb, and for more guests throughout the Philippines and overseas to enjoy our Filipino hospitality and rejuvenating probinsya life. I look forward to many more families and friends creating their own meaningful moments here and enjoying the rest house,” Marjorie shared.

The rest house can accommodate a maximum of 16 people for at least P25,000 per night. Apparently, it is already fully booked on Airbnb, but vacationers who would like to book a stay in the coming months can do so by sending a message to the River Garden Guesthouse Instagram Page.

With just an hour's drive away from Manila, lucky guests can surely taste the best vacation experience hosted by the Barrettos themselves.
