Deep-fried cheesecake, ube with edible gold, and other offerings to enjoy this National Cheesecake Day

Cheesecakes undoubtedly taste like sunshine, and there’s no better time than now to enjoy some because it’s National Cheesecake Day.

This soft, fluffy dessert has been a go-to treat for many. Heck, I even have a friend who loves it so much that she’s called “Cheesecake” by her nearest and dearest. I totally understand why it brings delight, though: apart from its perfect balance between sweet and cheesy, it’s also quite versatile. Just add some decadent sauce, nuts, cream, fruits, among many other fun things, and you’d have it in a next-level version.

To celebrate the goodness of cheesecake, here’s a quick roundup of some of the best cheesecake offerings in the metro—from the classic to the unexpected.

How cute is this cheesecake by ByLove PH? Priced at P1,100, the signature Sweesecake epitomizes quality without compromise as it’s made with only natural ingredients such as real Swiss cheese, Greek yogurt, and Australian cream cheese. It deserves a spot on the ‘gram, doesn’t it?

Cheesecakery PH’s quad cheesecake is perfect for when you want a little bit of everything. Made with blueberry, strawberry, mango, and caramel in separate slices, this offering can be enjoyed in different sizes: 6-inch for P750, 8-inch for P1,350, and 10-inch for P2,000.

This Honeycomb Coffee Crunch Bobba Cheesecake by Bobba Cheesecake MNL is an explosion of textures and flavors. It’s almost inexplainable: the soft cheesecake, topped with chewy pearls and dripping brown sugar sauce, is later completed with some honeycomb coffee crunch that makes it even more exciting. You can get it in 7-inch for P800 and 9-inch for P1,500.

Aby’s Ube Crème Brûlée Cheesecake is pleasing in more ways than one. On top of its lovely look amped up with edible gold shavings, it offers something new to the palate as it combines the goodness of ube, crème brûlée, and cheesecake in one delight.

Speaking of unique offerings, why not try Crave It’s deep-fried cheesecake for a change? It’s available in three flavors for P150 each: Rumsey (spiced rum, caramelized banana), Cameron (bacon, maple syrup and rock salt, and caramelized banana), and Gerry (blueberry and white chocolate).

I didn’t forget about you, vegans. Simply Healthy Manila’s Matcha Tofu Cheesecake (P1,300) is the dessert brand’s lowest-calorie cake on the menu. It’s made with oats, tofu, coconut, matcha, and agave syrup, making it indulgent yet light.
