For the past decades, Ayala Malls has brought the good life to Filipinos ever since it first opened its doors in the 1970s, addressing their basic needs and creating vibrant community hubs for shoppers and visitors.

More than just building malls, Ayala Land creates destinations. Its shopping malls are located within an integrated community that has office and residential developments. Through these, the quality of life is enhanced for those who live in and around its communities.

Ayala Malls continues to evolve and stay relevant through the years. Its activity centers are veritable busy hives buzzing with fun activities for everyone—be it a musical show, a fashion show, a product launch, or a movie premiere.

It has also become the place for family bonding as parents and their kids would often go to its cinemas to watch movies and share a bucket of popcorn with one another.

Movie watching as family bonding

Going to the cinema has become a family tradition for many Filipino families because it is the perfect way to spend time together. It strengthens bonds while creating wonderful memories that would last a lifetime. These memories are then passed down to future generations.

However, the COVID-19 pandemic has put a damper on this fun activity with families opting to watch movies using their gadgets rather than on the big screen. This makes the movie-watching experience less fun.

Why watching movies is better in the cinema

Going to the cinema means going on new adventures. By watching movies, it gives viewers better insights into life, ideas, and innovations, while also providing entertainment.

It also gives viewers a peek into other countries and their cultures. Lastly, it provides the viewer a more immersive experience with its larger display and crisper sound effects.

At Ayala Malls Cinema, families can enjoy entertainment experiences with their state-of-the-art features including their 4DX theaters with magical motion seats that let viewers fully immerse themselves in every scene.

After the movies, families can spend more time together by shopping or dining in any of the numerous restaurants in the Ayala Malls’ roster, or by visiting Time Zone and play games.

With Ayala Malls, families can spend as much time together as possible, thanks to their wide range of kid-friendly merchants.

The entrance to the cinema was akin to The Little Mermaid world.

Originally written by Danish author Hans Christian Andersen in 1837, the story revolves around an adventurous mermaid named Ariel who wants to see and explore the world.
