Where to get delicious imported produce online—from tiny wild strawberries to ‘Dazzle Apples’

Been wanting to try imported produce?

Just recently, okra or ladyfinger made the rounds online when 1,800 kilograms of it was shipped from the Philippines to Korea after a decade of talks. For Agriculture Secretary William Dar, the move “will strengthen our efforts to really support the high-value crops not only for local consumption but also for exports.” Additionally, it can be noted that the country has started shipping the same goods to Japan late last year.

On the flip side, many Filipinos have yet to try some goods flown into the Philippines from different countries that taste a lot better than most. If you’re one of them, scroll down to know a few shops that are offering them online. Trust us, you’ll thank us later.

Bays Town Produce is offering imported goods that are worth every penny. Their bestsellers are the Fraise des Bois or tiny wild strawberries (P1,600 per kilo) and Melon Le Ruban or sweet melon (P1,800 per piece) that are both from France.

You might also want to check out these red cherries from California and persimmons from New Zealand, which are being offered by Fruit Warehouse.

If you want to try a bunch of them with your family and friends, Crate2Plate is the way to go. Apart from Japanese sweet potatoes (P400 per kg), they’re also selling New Zealand Dazzle Apples (P98 per kg), Black Kyoho Grapes (P760 per kg), Taiwan Small Seed Lychee (P340 per kg), Vietnam Red Dragonfruit (P230 per piece), and so much more.
