Pets have all the fun at SM Paw Park online

I have visited several Paw Parks at the SM Malls. I normally have my fur baby with me when I do. I remember a trip I made to The Podium with their roof-deck Paw Park. I had to speed up the checking of Boris’ vaccine card, as he was pulling me in his excitement to get to the obstacles at the Paw Park.
At another time, I joined and covered several Philippine Animals Welfare Society (PAWS) activities at the Mall of Asia, where there were lots of fun and games and cute pets dressed to the nines in costumes.
But, did you know that SM Supermalls has a monthly pet campaign that started last month, online? Together with the leading newspaper, The Philippine STAR, SM Supermalls has collaborated on this meaningful and exciting project to promote animal welfare in all SM Supermalls in the country.
For August the theme is PAW-OTD. Here are the mechanics: Post a photo/video of you and your pet in three matching gamer outfits on Facebook, Instagram, or TikTok; share with us why gaming is your favorite bonding activity with your pet; and use the official hashtag #SMxSTARPAWotd; tag SM Supermalls (@smsupermalls) and The Philippine STAR (@philippinestar) in your post.
The top five most creative gamer videos will win SM Gift Certificates and will also be featured in the Lifestyle section of The Philippine STAR and on Philstar L!fe.
Seeing humans with their pet babies is always an uplifting and fun experience.
While it has always been fun for me to watch my furbabies in the SM Paw Park, the pandemic has prevented us from going out of our homes.
So, SM Supermalls and The Philippine STAR have come up with this online monthly contest to keep humans and their pets healthy and safe.
While it is always fun to watch our furbabies interact with different pets at a pet park, this will have to wait — for now.
But even at home we can teach, learn and play with our furbabies by joining the TikTok contest. And maybe we pet parents can find out that our furbabies have skills we have not yet discovered.
