LOOK: NEON reveals the first poster of ‘Spencer’ with Kristen Stewart as Princess Diana

Film production NEON has dropped the first poster of the biopic Spencer, which stars Kristen Stewart as Diana, the princess of Wales.

“Every fairy tale ends. Kristen Stewart is Diana Spencer. A glimpse at Pablo Larrain’s SPENCER. In Theaters Nov. 5,” the tweet says, which had a photo of Kristen Stewart donning an elegant wedding gown with her back to the camera as if she’s weeping.

NEON also released the trailer and an extended clip of the film at the CinemaCon event in the US on Wednesday morning, Aug. 25, which earned positive reviews.

Deadline Hollywood also wrote, “There’s been a lot of attention to the prospect of Stewart’s portrayal of the iconic Lady Diana. But her accent here is pitch-perfect as the Princess of Wales."

It can be recalled that Kristen Stewart once said in an interview with InStyle Magazine last Oct. 2020 that she felt intimidated by Princess Diana’s accent.

“The accent is intimidating as all hell because people know that voice, and it’s so, so distinct and particular. I’m working on it now and already have my dialect coach,” she said then. She also mentioned in the interview with Access Hollywood last Nov. 2020 that, “I’ve never been ‘consumed’ over something [Princess Diana’s accent] in so long so whatever the result of that is [Stewart’s accent] I’m sure it’ll be something worthwhile to at least myself, maybe to others.”

Spencer drops in theaters on November 5, 2021.
