HBO's ‘The Last of Us’ shares first photo on set

It seems like HBO’s much-awaited TV series adaptation of award-winning video game, The Last of Us, has already started shooting—if not, then rehearsing, as hinted by one of the upcoming show’s cast, Gabriel Luna.

Luna, who will be playing Tommy Miller, posted on Instagram over the weekend, with the caption, “Already love these folks,” and the hashtags #MillerTime and #TheLastOfUs.

The post includes a photo of Luna with Pedro Pascal who plays his on-screen brother, Joel Miller, and Nico Parker, who was recently cast to play Joel’s daughter, Sarah.

Despite the cheerful smiles on the actors' faces, fans may find the photo familiar. The picture is eerily similar to a certain scene in The Last of Us, specifically the first heart-racing 20 minutes of the game. This could as well be a hint on what scene they were shooting or rehearsing, given the setting and the gray-ish blue shirt Pedro Pascal is wearing.

As for the other stars of the show, Game of Thrones alumni Bella Ramsey is set to play Ellie, and Merle Dandridge who played Marlene in the game will be reprising her role.

Shooting for HBO’s The Last of Us series takes place at Calgary, Alberta, Canada and is expected to wrap up by June next year.
