Just like Taylor Swift, the Jonas Brothers are open to rerecording their old songs

Year 3000 in the year 2021.

Fans might be able to hear new versions of the Jonas Brothers' old songs soon enough, as lead singer Joe Jonas is open to taking a page from his ex-girlfriend and re-record their debut album.

“I think I would probably re-record our entire first album,” Joe shared during an interview with Buzzfeed. “Just do something like what Taylor did recently, which I thought was really clever.”

If the re-recorded album ever comes into fruition, the group would be following the steps of Taylor Swift, who recently released the “Taylor's Version” of her 2nd album Fearless under the guise of reclaiming her masters after from her first music label, Big Machine Records.

The Jonas Brothers' 2006 debut album “It’s About Time” skyrocketed the trio's name and introduced famous tracks like Mandy and Year 3000. The brothers made their comeback in 2019 with the single Sucker and fifth studio album V.

Before looking back to the past though, the band is eyeing to work with new Gen Z artists taking the music industry by storm.

“Olivia Rodrigo is fantastic,” Joe shared when asked who he’d want to collaborate with in the future.

“I think I would love to work with her or Lil Nas X.  Because I think they are crushing it and they’re authentic artists who are making changes in the music industry, in the pop world, that we all need.”
