Weekend Watchlist: ‘Castlevania,’ ‘Love Death & Robots Vol. 2’ & more

We’ve got some new seasons of cool shows returning to the small screen this weekend.

On the animation front, the NSFW animated anthology series Love, Death & Robots is back with its highy-anticipated second volume while vampire series Castlevania just released its fourth season. There are also a couple of new movies out for My Hero Academia.

Looking for a thriller that fits today’s quarantine lifestyle? The Woman in the Window stars Amy Adams as an agoraphobic who witnesses a crime and can’t leave her house.

For those who want something light, there are some feel-good classic movies from the late 90s like Notting Hill and fun misfit superhero flick Mystery Men starring Ben Stiller as well as a couple of Pinoy rom-coms.

Love, Death & Robots Vol. 2

Synopsis: Terrifying creatures, wicked surprises and dark comedy converge in this NSFW anthology of animated stories presented by Tim Miller and David Fincher.

Castlevania: Season 4

Synopsis: A vampire hunter fights to save a besieged city from an army of otherworldly beasts controlled by Dracula himself. Inspired by the classic video games.

The Woman in the Window

Synopsis: Confined to her home by agoraphobia, a psychologist becomes obsessed with her new neighbors — and solving a brutal crime she witnesses from her window.

Pitch Perfect 2

Mystery Men

Move to Heaven

Synopsis: Finding life in all that’s left behind, a detail-oriented trauma cleaner and his estranged uncle deliver untold stories of the departed to loved ones.

My Hero Academia: Two Heroes 

Synopsis: With Deku, All Might visits an old friend on the technologically advanced I-Island, when a gang of villains takes the whole city hostage.

My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising

Synopsis: While putting their hero skills to use on the peaceful island of Nabu, the Class 1-A kids face a sudden attack from a formidable villain known as Nine.

Love or Money

Synopsis: When persistent Leon sweeps her off her feet, ambitious Angel must choose between her true love and her dreams of a luxurious life.

Hello, Stranger

Synopsis: When two boys who are like night and day are paired up in a virtual class project, they find their connection may notbe as remote as they had thought.
