Some of Japan’s biggest anime studios and content providers have teamed up to start a YouTube channel aimed to provide an array of free anime titles by 2022.

First spotted by Variety, Analyzelog said in a press release that they’ve launched a YouTube channel called Animelog that will soon feature 3,000 anime titles from 30 companies which include Toei Animation, Shogakukan Shueisha Productions, Shinei Video, Kodansha, and other major anime studios.

Their plan is to rack up a total of 1 million subscribers and generate 300 million views per month. The channel  is currently available in Japan but there are plans to make it available in other countries.

“[A]lthough there is an illegal video problem in the video distribution service these days, 'AnimeLog' will distribute only the officially licensed anime and operate a safe channel that the family can enjoy together,” it said in a statement.

Some of the anime series that will be available at launch are World Masterpiece Theater, Mirai Shonen Conan, Astro Boy, Ribbon Knight, and Black Jack.
