The Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) Parade of Stars is back on the road!
After having a fluvial parade last year over the Pasig River, 2022's Parade of Stars jump-started the film fest on Dec. 21 in Quezon City. From Mabuhay Rotonda to QC Circle, the actors and directors of the different films greeted the crowds atop their colorful floats.
Family Matters stars Agot Isidro, Noel Trinidad, Liza Lorena, Mylene Dizon, JC Santos, and Nonie Buencamino waved at fans from their house-shaped float.
Meanwhile, My Father, Myself actors, including Jake Cuenca, rode on a float with a classic film marquee look.
Vice Ganda, Ivana Alawi, and the rest of the Partners in Crime cast were all smiles as their colorful yellow vehicle passed by.
In a giant yellow and orange school bus were the stars of My Teacher, including Toni Gonzaga, Ronnie Alonte, and Loisa Andalio.
The Labyu with an Accent float featured stars Coco Martin, Jodi Sta. Maria, and Nash Aguas.
Standing out in a big black bus with LEDs, Deleter's float carried Nadine Lustre, McCoy De Leon, Louise De Los Reyes, and Jeffrey Hidalgo. They even had zombie-like ladies in bloody make-up.
Aboard another ominous float with windows depicting a bloodied woman were the Nanahimik ang Gabi stars Ian Veneracion, Heaven Peralejo, and Mon Confiado.
The Mamasapano: Now It Can Be Told float featured a huge soldier statue in front with the actor portraying the late former president NoyNoy Aquino sitting behind him. The film stars Edu Manzano, Aljur Abrenica, Paolo Gumabao, and Alan Paule.
The Metro Manila Film Festival will run from December 25, 2022 to January 7, 2023, while the Gabi ng Parangal awards night will take place on Dec. 27 at the New Frontier Theater in Quezon City.
