'Percy Jackson,' 'Disenchanted,' 'Secret Invasion,' and more: The biggest trailers for Disney and Marvel movies from D23 Expo
Disney gave fans a first look at some of its biggest upcoming movies at the D23 Expo 2022, including trailers for The Little Mermaid, Percy Jackson, Disenchanted, and Marvel's Secret Invasion.
This year's convention, which ran from Sept. 9 to 11 in Anaheim, California, kicked off Disney's 100th-anniversary celebration. Over the weekend, the House of Mouse delighted fans with new film and TV series trailers.
Disney, Pixar, Marvel, and Lucasfilm also announced upcoming projects such as Peter Pan & Wendy, Mufasa: The Lion King, Elemental, Inside Out 2, Iwájú, Wish, Zootopia Plus, Fantastic Four, and Thunderbolts.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever director Ryan Coogler also shared more details about the sequel, which will be set in the wake of King T'Challa's death.

The Little Mermaid
Disney finally gave a first look at the live-action adaptation of 1989's The Little Mermaid, where fans can hear Halle Bailey's Ariel sing Part of Your World.
The upcoming musical film, to hit theaters on May 26, will feature old and new music from the classic movie's original composer Alan Menken. It also stars Melissa McCarthy as Ursula, Jonah Hauer-King as Prince Eric, and Javier Bardem as King Triton.
Hocus Pocus 2
It's been 29 years since someone lit the Black Flame Candle and now, the Sanderson sisters are back, looking for revenge.
This sequel to cult classic Hocus Pocus brings back Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy as the iconic witches. It's up to three high school students to stop them from wreaking havoc on Salem.
Disenchanted
It's a dream reunion in the making—the first trailer for Disenchanted has arrived. Giselle (Amy Adams) is back and she's still singing to animals in New York City. Now, she's starting a new life with Robert (Patrick Dempsey) in the suburbs but their home seems to be quite the fixer-upper, so Giselle turns to magic to solve her problems.
Werewolf By Night
On a dark and somber night, a secret cabal of monster hunters emerge from the shadows and gather at the foreboding Bloodstone Temple following the death of their leader.
Marvel Studios is diving into the supernatural side of the comics franchise. Werewolf by Night is a black and white horror TV special, an ode to spooky films from the past. It follows the story of Jack Russell, a man descended from lycanthropes.
Secret Invasion
Fury (Sam Jackson) lands on Earth in a cloaked spaceship and meets Maria Hill (Cobie Smulders) in a bar somewhere in what we assume is Eastern Europe. Hill gives her old boss a good scolding for ignoring her calls for so long.
As the trailer unfolds, Fury explains the oncoming circumstances and why they’re about to face a threat unlike any other. As the footage continues, we see Ben Mendelsohn, Olivia Colman, Kingsley Ben-Adir, and Emilia Clarke entering the fray. Everyone is on their guard, unsure who to trust or about to pull a trigger.
Andor
Set before the events of Rogue One, Andor follows the origins of Cassian Andor (Diego Luna) as he contemplates the difference he can make for the burgeoning rebellion against the Empire.
This Disney+ series drops on Sept. 21, with the first season consisting of 12 episodes.
The Mandalorian Season 3
After two years, there's finally a new season of The Mandalorian! In the new teaser, Din (Perdo Pascal) is reunited with adopted son Grogu, aka Baby Yoda. It seems like the titular character has been excommunicated from the Mandalorian sect and must now fend off on his own with Grogu.
Percy Jackson and the Olympians
The first trailer for Disney's take on Rick Riordan's books is finally here! The teaser opens with Percy Jackson (Walker Scolbell) chronicling the dangers of being a half-blood, a child of a human parent and a Greek god.
