Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) President and National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) Chairman Arsenio "Nick" Lizaso revealed that he is eyeing young stars Kathyrn Bernardo, Daniel Padilla, and Liza Soberano to be part of his upcoming adaptation of the Jose Rizal novel Noli Me Tangere.

In a press conference held on Sept. 15, Lizaso shared that Bernardo (25) and Padilla (26) would be his ideal actors for the young lovers Elias and Salome.

Meanwhile, he would like Soberano (23) to portray Sisa, the mother of Crispin and Basilio, who eventually loses her mind from abuse and grief.

"I'm working on getting millennial actors so that our senior students can relate to the modern actors like Daniel Padilla, Kathryn Bernardo, and Liza Soberano. Nag-uumpisa na po ako ng pre-prod," Lizaso shared during the presser.
