This year's Cannes Film Festival Palme d'Or winner is coming to the Philippines!

The critically-acclaimed dark comedy film, Triangle of Sadness is set to premiere in Philippine cinemas starting this Nov. 30, 2022.

Directed by Swedish filmmaker Ruben Östlund, the film follows an influencer couple Carl (The King’s Man’s Harris Dickinson) and Yaya (the late Charlbi Dean) who are invited to join a luxury cruise for the ultra-rich.

While everything appears Instagrammable at first, a storm is brewing, and heavy seasickness hits the passengers during the seven-course captain’s dinner.

The cruise ends catastrophically as they become stranded on a desert island with billionaires used to nothing but opulence and luxury.

The comedy satire film also features Woody Harrelson (Zombieland) and the Philippines' very own Dolly de Leon as the ship's memorable cleaning lady, Abigail.

De Leon has since been receiving Oscar buzz for her performance and has also received rave reviews from critics as well as a standing ovation from the audience during the film's showing at the Toronto International Film Festival.

Meanwhile, Triangle of Sadness is set to be shown nationwide and exclusively distributed by TBA Studios.
