With her 2022 American Music Awards sweep, Taylor Swift extended her lead as the most-awarded artist in the show's 50-year history. But the Midnights singer wasn't the only one with the big wins from the night.

Held at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, the AMAs recognized the best and brightest artists in the music scene.

During the night, Swift took home six awards, bringing her AMA total wins up to 40. She's currently the artist on top of the AMA leaderboard, followed by late musicians Michael Jackson (26), Whitney Houston (22), and Kenny Rogers (19).

This year, she bagged her seventh artist of the year win and her seventh favorite pop/rock female artist. Swift also earned trophies for the categories favorite music video, favorite pop album, favorite female country artist, and favorite country album.

Beyoncé was one of the night's runners-up for most wins, getting three out of six awards. With her seventh favorite soul/R&B female artist award, she ties Rihanna as the top singer with the most wins in that category.

Meanwhile, Harry Styles earned his first favorite male pop artist award for the first time from the 2022 AMAs, as well as the title for favorite pop song.

On the other hand, K-pop sensation BTS earned their fourth favorite pop duo/group from the show, making them the most awarded group in the category. They beat out Daryl Hall & John Oats, Aerosmith, Black Eyed Peas, and One Direction, who each have three wins, for the honor. The group also won its first favorite K-pop artist title.

This year's favorite female hip-hop artist Nicki Minaj made history with her fifth win, which made her the winningest hip-hop artist category, regardless of gender.
