Apple rolls out thinnest, most vibrant iMac lineup yet

Are your wallets ready? Apple has introduced new additions to the Apple family through their rollout event, ‘Spring Loaded’.

One of the standouts includes the iMac 2021 in stunning bold colors, the Apple-exclusive M1 chip, and a 4.5K Retina display. The screens will also feature Touch ID for the first time in Apple history.

The new iMacs will be available in seven colorways - green, yellow, orange, pink, purple, blue, and silver - inspired by the colorful 1999 iMac series.

The setups will sell for $1,299 (approx. P63,000) for the blue, red, and silver variants. Fans of the more colorful variety will have to pay a little more at $1,499 (approx. P72,000) for yellow, orange, and purple. There are no details yet on local prices from Philippine suppliers.

Preorders will begin on April 30, with the products set to roll out during the second half of May.

The new iMacs are also powered by Apple’s M1 chip, their own homemade processor that replaced the Intel Core Chip and made exclusively for Apple products.

Along with the rollout is the introduction of a Purple-finish iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini in 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB models. The tech giant is offering AirTags, a Bluetooth-activated tracker for when one's devices go missing.
