A 35-year-old woman who mailed thousands of handwritten letters to Harry Styles has been jailed and banned from attending any event with the singer.

According to a report by NBC News, Myra Carvalho was sentenced in Harrow Crown Court on Tuesday, April 16, after mailing 8,000 cards to him in less than a month. Authorities said that these included wedding cards, with two of them personally delivered to Harry's address.

In a statement, the Crown Prosecution Services said she pleaded guilty to stalking involving serious alarm or distress. She was given a 14-week prison sentence as well as a 10-year restraining order, prohibiting her from getting in touch with Harry in any way and attending any event that Harry is expected to take part in.

Sky News reported that the stalker was also asked to stay away from northwest London, where Harry currently resides.

On top of these, she was also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £134 (almost P10,000).

This isn't the first time Harry dealt with a stalker, according to NBC News. In 2019, he testified against a 26-year-old individual identified as Pablo Tarazaga-Orero, who camped outside his home. Harry told the court he "never felt unsafe or uneasy in [his] own home" until that moment. Pablo was asked to undergo rehabilitation and maintan a distance of at least 250 meters from him at all times.
