Master Roshi joins the fight in Dragon Ball FighterZ

After much speculation from fans, Bandai Namco finally revealed the latest character to join its highly acclaimed Dragon Ball FighterZ fighting game – none other than the martial arts expert of Kame House himself, Master Roshi.

Master Roshi officially arrives this September as the third DLC character for FighterZ Pass 3. He is the third character to arrive in the third wave of new content for FighterZ, following Kefla (fusion form of Kale and Caulifla) and Goku Ultra Instinct.

In a teaser trailer released by Bandai Namco, Master Roshi is dubbed as “Master of Martial Arts” and is able to perform a variety of moves and combos.

Master Roshi may be sporting a pair of rundown pants, dark glasses, white sando, gi belt, cane and slippers in this game but don’t let appearances fool you. Aside from the usual comic relief, the venerable Turtle Hermit is still very capable of ending opponents with his signature final technique: the Evil Containment Wave.

With his addition to the roster, Dragon Ball FighterZ now has a total of 41 playable characters. Two more will be announced soon.

Dragon Ball FighterZ is available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Windows PC, and Xbox One. As of May 2020, the game had surpassed 5 million copies in sales to become the best-selling Dragon Ball title yet.
