According to earlier reports, the sequel will feature a cast composed of Dennis Trillo, Lotlot de Leon, Ricky Davao, William Martinez, John Arcilla, Dante Rivero, Vandolph Quizon, and Eric Fructuoso.

A quick look at movie database IMDb describes the sequel as follows: “This sequel to the blockbuster 2013 crime thriller focuses on corruption and media censorship now that a new strongman, Duterte, is in power in the Philippines.”

The original On the Job followed the story of Daniel (Gerald Anderson) and Mario "Tatang" Maghari (Joel Torre), two inmates temporarily released from prison to serve as contract killers for politicians and high ranking military officials while the tandem of NBI agent Francis Coronel Jr. (Piolo Pascual) and policeman Joaquin Acosta (Joey Marquez) were tasked with hunting both convicts down.
