By Kara Santos Published Feb 04, 2021 2:14 am Updated Feb 04, 2021 3:28 am

The nominations for the 78th Annual Golden Globe Awards, celebrating the best in television and film, have been announced.

The Hollywood Foreign Press Association, which gives out the awards, has pushed the ceremony to February 28 this year, due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Saturday Night Live alums Tina Fey and Amy Poehler will be returning as event hosts for the fourth time.

This year's nominees highlights shows people have been watching at home while in quarantine. Notably streaming services, including Netflix and Amazon, dominated the list of nominees

Netflix led in both television and film nominations, with the drama Mank leading with six nods, while The Trial of the Chicago 7 followed with five nominations.

Black Panther actor Chadwick Boseman, who passed away last year after a private battle with colon cancer, received a posthumous nomination for his role in the Netflix film Ma Rainey's Black Bottom.

In the television categories, Netflix's royal drama The Crown led with six nominations, followed by last year's award show favorite, the comedy Schitt's Creek, with five.

Popular hits like The Queen’s Gambit and The Mandalorian are also in the running for Best Television series in their respective categories.
