Weekend Watchlist: ‘On the Job,’ ‘Lucifer: The Final Season’ and more

Erik Matti's award-winning crime thriller On the Job is set to premiere globally this weekend exclusively on HBO Go. The HBO Asia Original series from the Philippines starring Joel Torre, Gerald Anderson, Joey Marquez, Piolo Pascual, John Arcilla, Dennis Trillo, and Christopher de Leon, begins streaming September 12 (Sunday).

Meanwhile, the final season of Lucifer just dropped on Netflix this Friday, right in time for a binge-watch session to kick off the weekend. The last season of the crime fighting-alongside-the-devil picks up with Lucifer taking over as the king of the heavens.

On the Job

Synopsis: The six-part hour-long series centers around crime syndicates that temporarily release contracted prison inmates to carry out political assassinations for those in power, except that the crime syndicates are run by politicians. The series also puts a spotlight on the real-world predicament concerning fake news and how easily truth can be manufactured and disseminated to the public in today's age of information.
