Aespa takes their music to the ‘next level’ with comeback single

Virtual hybrid rookie girl group Aespa is back with their comeback single Next Level.

Next Level is a remake of Australian singer Aston’s 2019 song of the same name, which was featured on the original soundtrack of the film Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw. The single is recreated into a hip-hop dance track that shows off Aespa’s vocal, rap, and performance abilities.

According to SM Entertainment, the reworked lyrics of Next Level talks about Aespa’s journey in the fictional world of “KWANGYA” that was first mentioned in their debut song Black Mamba.

Aespa is composed of four members: Karina, Winter, Giselle, and Ningning. Each member has their own avatar counterpart, namely ae-Karina, ae-Winter, ae-Giselle, and ae-Ningning which was introduced in their debut teasers.

Next Level is the girl group's second release of the year, following their sophomore release Forever in February.
