Weekend Watchlist: ‘Bridgerton,’ ‘The Midnight Sky’ & more

Welcome to the final Weekend Watchlist for 2020!

It's been one incredibly unique and trying year for all of us. Somehow, we've been able to survive by following quarantine rules and comforting ourselves with what must be a record-breaking number of hours binge-watching new TV series and films throughout.

There's a lot of great shows streaming right now on the last weekend of the year. So, without further ado, have a great Christmas break with some of the newest series and films that Netflix has to offer.

Bridgerton (Season 1)

Synopsis: During the Regency era in England, eight close-knit siblings of the powerful Bridgerton family attempt to find love.

The Midnight Sky

Synopsis: A lone scientist in the Arctic races to contact a crew of astronauts returning home to a mysterious global catastrophe.

Sweet Home

Synopsis: As humans turn into savage monsters, one troubled teenager and his neighbours fight to survive and to hold onto their humanity.

We Can Be Heroes

Synopsis: When alien invaders kidnap Earth's superheroes, their children must team up and learn to work together if they want to save their parents and the world.

Hello, Love, Goodbye

Synopsis: The 2019 Philippine romantic drama film directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina and produced by Star Cinema follows Joy Fabregas (Kathryn Bernardo), a struggling overseas Filipino worker, and Ethan Del Rosario (Alden Richards), a bartender, as they attempt to reconcile their personal careers and love for each other in Hong Kong.

Synopsis: With her children in tow, Iyay embarks on a rowdy road trip from Cebu to Dumaguete to attend her estranged husband's funeral.
