'Superman' Henry Cavill builds his own rig from scratch

It seems that Henry Cavill has finally found the time and “bravery” to build his own gaming PC during the lockdown period.

In an Instagram post on Friday, the Man of Steel and The Witcher actor shared a 5-minute clip of himself assembling a rig from scratch. Cavill humorously warned his followers that they “may see a lot of parts” in the video that they haven’t seen before.

“This kind of material isn't for everyone....viewer discretion is advised,” Cavill wrote.

In an interview with NME last year, Cavill, after revealing that he actually prefers PC over video game consoles, said that he would like to try his hand at assembling his own gaming PC someday.

“I have not quite ventured into building my own myself… but definitely have had custom PCs over the years. That would be the next project as soon as I found enough time and the bravery - I might put my own PC together,” Cavill said.

To the uninitiated, Cavill is an avid gamer who proudly declares his unashamed biased for PC when given a chance. When he’s not donning the red cape or slaying monsters for coins, the 37-year-old actor actually prefers to play games (like a proper geek) than to venture to the great outdoors.

“At home, I get to sit playing games for ridiculous amounts of hours and escape there, because going outside has the opposite effect,” Cavill told GQ.

Last April, Cavill shared that he’s been keeping himself busy by painting Warhammer 40,000 miniatures.

“So, as you can see here, the obvious might look a little bit like a tiny helmet...which it is. One of my almost life long hobbies, that I've been following but not actively doing, is this,” Cavill said.

Netflix has paused the film production of The Witcher’s season 2 following the outbreak of COVID-19.
