Pinoy pop group SB19 once again made it to the Billboard charts for their latest single, Bazinga. The track landed on the Hot Trending Songs chart for the last 24 hours and for the past seven days.

The song is currently sitting at the third spot in the last 24 hours behind BTS’ Butter and NCT 127’s Favorite, while it’s on the 20th spot of the seven-day version as of this writing.

The Filipino boyband released their arcade-game-inspired music video for Bazinga on Friday (Oct. 29), as part of their third single off their critically acclaimed EP, Pagsibol.

While the song's title is inspired by a catchphrase on the American sitcom The Big Bang Theory, the lyrics are meant to send a message to haters and online bashers.

“One way to lighten the load is by writing a song that proves that we won't back down from the negative comments and we'll persevere,” the band said. “As it says from the lyrics, ‘Hate 'nyo'y gasolina’—we continue to flourish and emerge as better individuals despite the hostility.”

The music video which blends themes of graffiti and gaming is set in an underground combat zone and shows the team defeating their enemies in an arcade combat game.

The music video has hit over one million views views a week after its debut on YouTube and is currently the top four trending video for music on the video-sharing platform.

SB19 first entered the Billboard chart in 2019, when they appeared on the Next Big Sound Chart. They are the first Filipino group to have landed on the particular chart which lists musical acts for their fast-rising popularity.

SB19 was recently nominated to the 2021 MTV Europe Music Awards as Best Southeast Asia Act, alongside Ink Waruntorn of Thailand, JJ Lin of Singapore, K-ICM of Vietnam, Lyodra of Indonesia, and Naim Daniel of Malaysia.

The nomination coincides with their third anniversary as a group. A live online concert will be held on Nov. 27 and 28 titled “Our Zone.”

The event will be streamed on KTX.ph and it will feature special guests, games, and surprises, apart from their own performances.
