By John Patrick Magno Ranara Published Jun 27, 2022 3:15 pm

Part one of the hit action/comedy anime series Spy x Family just concluded, with the last episode airing last Saturday, June 25 on Netflix.

But you won’t be missing the Forger family’s hilarious and wholesome antics for too long as the teaser trailer for part two confirmed for October 2022 just dropped.

The Forger family are in for a tense and suspenseful ride as their next mission is to stop a terrorist bombing attack. The forty-second trailer also features a new character named Keith Kepler, who is the leader of the terrorist group. The character of Kepler will be voiced by Hiroki Takahashi (Hisoka in Hunter x Hunter and Kikumaru Eiji in Prince of Tennis).

The anime, based on the Japanese manga series by Tatsuya Endo, follows a brilliant spy called Twilight, who must disguise himself as a psychiatrist named Loid Forger and build a fake happy family in order to spy on Donovan Desmond, a leader of an opposing nation who threatens peace. To achieve this, he adopts an orphan named Anya and marries a woman named Yor.

Unbeknowst to him, Anya actually has mind-reading powers and Yor is in fact a professional assassin who is a force to be reckoned with.

Spy x Family Part 2 will be directed by Kazuhiro Furuhashi and features the voices of Takuya Eguchi, Atsumi Tanezaki, and Saori Hayami. It will be produced by Wit Studio, the company behind Attack on Titan, and CloverWorks, which produced anime series such as My Dress-Up Darling and The Promised Neverland.

The original Spy x Family manga, written and illustrated by Tatsuya Endo, has sold over 21 million copies and has more than 400 million views online.

The second part of Spy x Family, which will consist of 13 episodes, will be released sometime in October this year on Netflix.
