Ben&Ben and SB19 dropped a new performance video Thusday evening (May 5) for the song Kapangyarihan, their powerful anthem for justice and freedom, shot for the 2022 elections in the Philippines.

The song was first introduced as a sign of protest by the twin-vocalists, Paolo Benjamin Guico and Miguel Benjamin Guico amidst the police brutality and the incompetence of the Philippine Government.

Ben&Ben originally released Kapangyarihan in December 2020 to call for justice for Sonya Gregorio and her son Frank Anthony, who were shot to death by policeman Jonel Nuezca in broad daylight just before Christmas.

Kapangyarihan was later released in collaboration with SB19 as a track on Ben&Ben’s second album “Pebble House Vol. 1: Kuwaderno.”

The collaboration featured additional lyrics by P-Pop group SB19 leader Pablo.

Kapangyarihan is Ben&Ben and SB19’s second collaboration after Mapa, which was written as a tribute to parents.

"Katotohanan ang dapat mamuno, sa namumuno sa mamamayan," shared Ben&Ben on Twitter to announce the new performance video.

A disclaimer at the end of the video states that SB19 is part of the project and song as performers, not as an endorsement for any politician or political party for the 2022 Philippine National Elections.
