Netflix just announced that South Korea’s zombie thriller #Alive will premiere on September 8.

#Alive is about a mysterious virus outbreak that turns humans into zombies. Oh Jun-u (Yoo Ah-in) and Kim Yu-bin (Park Shin-hye) are neighbors who find themselves trapped inside a zombie-infested apartment building in the wake of the outbreak. Without access to cellular data, Wi-Fi, text or even calls, the main characters’ only source of information about the situation outside is the news on TV and what they can see through their apartment windows.

Yoo Ah-in’s character is described as “a typical middle-class boy who enjoys computer games and social networking.” Yu-bin, meanwhile, uses traditional items such as camping tools and telescopes in order to stay alive. The duo must work together in a bid to survive the zombie apocalypse that rapidly grows out of control in Seoul.

As per Forbes, #Alive became the first film to surpass the one million tickets sales mark at the Korean box office since February. As of August 24, #Alive has racked up a total of 1,901,173 admissions with total gross of $13,449,690, according to the Korean Film council.
