Witness the divine feminine experience through this art exhibit happening in October

“Women are born with pain built in. It’s our physical destiny: period pains, sore boobs, childbirth, you know. We carry it within ourselves throughout our lives, men don’t." — Fleabag, Amazon.

The depiction of the feminine experience comes in myriad forms, and The KASIBULAN artists are united with all women in their shared feminine experiences and sentiments. But being a woman isn't a one-size-fits-all experience, it takes discernment, authenticity, and honesty to be able to showcase the feminine experience—especially in the local art scene.

Enter Kasibulan ♥ Jigs, an art exhibit presented by the long-leading all-female collective in the Philippines, Kababaihan sa Sining at Bagong Sibol na Kamalayan (KASIBULAN).

Kasibulan ♥ Jigs brings together women artists coming from different backgrounds with individual stories and life challenges to showcase the gender's shared experiences of pain, loss, happiness, and most importantly: victory.

Ultimately, the exhibit is an expression of the collective love and solidarity towards KASIBULAN'S beloved sister and fellow artist, Yasmin Almonte, or Jigs, whose anguish is expressed in her hauntingly beautiful abstract paintings. Her life and artworks are proof of how one can be triumphant in turning torment and suffering into joy through friendship.

Rebie Ramoso - What Connects Us

The abstract images of Rebie Picazo Ramoso, the divine feminine and communing with nature from Eden Ocampo’s artworks, the environment in the works of Elaine Lopez-Clemente and Rara Carillo, the tenderness and capacity of women to love unconditionally in Julie Lluch's sculpture and the symbols of feminine strength in Imelda Cajipe-Endaya's multi-media assemblages are just some of the magnificently rich artworks in the collection.
