An iPad version of the free video editing software DaVinci Resolve is now available to download from the App Store.

Blackmagic Design released the iPadOS iteration of the app on Dec. 22, allowing Apple users to utilize the software's features like same color correction, Cut Page, Source Tape, Fast Review, Sync Bin, and other post-production functions as its PC version.

To optimize it for iPad use, DaVinci Resolve works with accessories like the Apple Pencil, multi-touch trackpads, and the Magic Keyboard.

Video codecs such as H.264, H.265, ProRes, and Blackmagic RAW are compatible on the iPad iteration. Clips can be imported from iPad storage, Photos library, iCloud, and external USB-C disks.

The app works with any iPad model running on iPadOS16, but developers recommend using models with an M1 chip or later. It's about 2GB in size so make space on your iPad.

While the app is free to download, there's an optional in-app upgrade to DaVinci Resolve Studio for $95 (around P5,200).

DaVinci Resolve is a video editing app capable of color grading, color correction, visual effects, and audio post-production for macOS, Windows, and Linux.
