LEGO CON 2022 kicks off brick maker’s 90th year this June
LEGO will officially kick off its 90th Anniversary celebrations with the return of its livestreamed fan convention LEGO CON 2022 this coming June.
The virtual show will be streaming LIVE on YouTube from the LEGO House, Billund on Saturday June 18th, which fans of LEGO worldwide can watch for free.

LEGO CON 2022 marks the 90th anniversary of the beloved toy. The plastic building block toys that rose to massive popularity in the mid-20th century, originated in Billund, Denmark from the workshop of Ole Kirk Christiansen, who began making wooden toys in 1932. Two years later he named his company LEGO after the Danish phrase leg godt (“play well”).
The first design of the plastic brick with interlocking studs emerged in 1949 and the basic LEGO brick has remained the same since it was patented.
In the 21st century the LEGO brand has spun off into electronic games, including a series of popular Minifigure action-adventure games centred on famed pop-culture properties such as the Star Wars films, Batman, Marvel Comics superheroes, and the Harry Potter movies.
The franchise also released The LEGO Movie (2014), a computer-animated feature film that also revolved around the adventures of Minifigures. One of the fan-favourite characters from that film, Batman, was the subject of a stand-alone spin-off, The LEGO Batman Movie (2017).
LEGO CON 2022 is one event no brick fanatic wants to miss. Audiences will be given a sneak peek behind the scenes and discover the amazing new things the LEGO Group has on offer, while sharing the experience alongside an awesome community centered around the same creative passion.
Brick fans can expect official set reveals from favorite franchises—from video games to upcoming sets and new partnerships. The trailer teases reveals from hits like LEGO Minecraft, LEGO Harry Potter, LEGO Star Wars, LEGO Marvel, LEGO Super Mario, and more.
Other featured events in the two-hour long show include a LEGO Masters live show and a WB Studio London tour – the making of Harry Potter with a special guest from the films.

LEGO CON 2022 starts at 5 p.m. in London, 12 p.m. New York, and 9 a.m. Los Angeles, which translates tto 12 a.m. Monday (June 19) in the Philippines.
