Looking to upgrade your game room? Timezone Philippines has put some of their game machines up for sale. If you have the cash to spare, you can bring home a piece of the arcade to enjoy at home.

In a recent Facebook post, the country’s leading Family Entertainment Center with over 50 outlets nationwide, announced the sale of selected game machines.

Hotshot, an arcade version of a basketball machine with an automatic digital scoring system, is currently on sale for P65,000. The Air Hockey Tables, which come equipped with an overhead playfield illumination wand and 4-inch score displays, has a starting price of P55,000.

Other game machines are also available for sale according to the Facebook post.

Amusement arcade centers have long been a go-to spot for families with kids and kids-at-heart who want to pass the time at the mall. But with most malls closed since March, and restricted movement among those aged 21 years and under, including Timezone’s main demographic of kids and teenagers, arcades have been shuttered.

The post sparked inquiries regarding the availability of other popular arcade cabinets like Tekken, Dance Dance Revolution, Claw Machine games, and even their Snapshot Photobooths.

The announcement has also caused some worry among netizens given the permanent closure of other hobby and amusement venues like Jumpyard, KidZania, and most recently Comic Quest due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to an advisory on their official website, Timezone remains “temporarily closed” due to the pandemic, “While we are still on pause with the fun that Timezone offers, we wish that you and your family stay safe at all times. We will be back full of fun soon.”

In a previous statement, Timezone assured their patrons and members that game credits and Powercard balances have been “momentarily paused” until they can be used in arcades again.
