Dragons are coming.

HBO has unveiled the official teaser trailer for House of the Dragon, the highly-anticipated spin-off series of Game of Thrones.

The HBO fantasy drama is based on George R.R. Martin’s book, Fire & Blood, and is set 200 years prior to the events in Game of Thrones.

House of the Dragon tells the story of House Targaryen and the Targaryen civil war that became known as the “Dance of the Dragons.”

The trailer, which features the first real footage from the upcoming series, shows snippets of various fight sequences and establishing character shots. A voiceover from Matt Smith’s Prince Daemon Targaryen, states: “Gods, kings, fire and blood. Dreams didn’t make us kings — dragons did.”

House of the Dragon stars Emma D’ Arcy as Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen, Paddy Considine as King Viserys Targaryen, Matt Smith as Prince Daemon Targaryen, Steve Toussaint as Lord Corlys Velaryon aka “The Sea Snake,” Olivia Cooke as Alicent Hightower, and Rhys Ifans as Otto Hightower.

Martin Ryan and Ryan Condal serve as the co-creators of the new series. Condal is joined by Miguel Sapochnik as showrunners with Martin, Vince Gerardis, Sara Lee Hess and Ron Schmidt as executive producers.
