Merry Christmas! Well, sort of.

Just a few days since the start of November, Mariah Carey's hit holiday song All I Want For Christmas Is You has already returned to the charts 27 years after its release.

Introduced in 1994 as part of Carey's first Christmas album and fourth album titled Merry Christmas, it's now once again part of the Global Spotify Charts and Apple Music's US Top hits.

The move comes as no surprise to fans everywhere, as the song has had a place in the charts every holiday season since its release.  2020 also marked the fourth straight decade it became a number one hit.

Carey has also been well aware of its fame, as she's gone on to release numerous rerecordings of the song. The most recent re-recording with a music video companion was the track All I Want for Christmas Is You (Make My Wish Come True Edition) released in 2019.

Just recently, on Nov. 1, the artist posted a video of herself on Instagram smashing Halloween pumpkins and already enjoying a festive Christmas, all with the song's familiar tune playing in the background. A wrapped gift is also seen with "11/5" written on it, which could be telling of an announcement on Nov. 5.

A brief message appears at the end of Mariah's video: "It's time!!! to smash that pumpkin and treat it as pie... cause still gotta get through Thanksgiving!!!"
