John Lloyd Cruz is officially back as a Kapuso after a 4-year break from showbiz.

The partnership was inked on Nov. 9 at the Edsa Shangri-La Hotel in Mandaluyong. The veteran actor was joined by GMA network officials Felipe Gozon, Oliver Amoroso, and Johnny Manahan, among others.

"We are very happy that he chose to partner with GMA for his TV comeback," Gozon said. "I am sure that all of our Kapuso viewers and your fans are excited to watch and support you as you begin a new chapter in your life."

John Lloyd has long been hinting at a showbiz comeback with GMA, as he first appeared alongside Willie Revillame in a 6.6 shopping TV special in June.

He was also among the first batch of artists to be signed onto Crown Artist Management, the talent agency helmed by Maja Salvador and partner Rambo Nuñez Ortega.

“The management is excited in many ways because this is a first between JLC, CAM and GMA," Nuñez shared during the contract signing.

"Just the idea of putting together a project that his fans have been waiting for is something that is really worth anticipating. “We are looking forward to a fruitful relationship and also help each other produce quality projects together."

The 38-year-old actor went on a 4-year hiatus from showbiz after departing ABS-CBN, but he continued starring in movies such as Lav Diaz's History of Ha.
