Get ready to summon the power of Grayskull this coming July.

In case you missed it, the official teaser for Masters of the Universe: Revelation, the revival of beloved ’80s cartoon series He-Man has been released. The animated series is dropping this July 23rd on Netflix.

The series from executive producer Kevin Smith, isn't a reboot of the classic cartoon, but rather picks up right after the original show ended in 1985.

“Narratively our show is set up as the next episode in the legacy ‘80s animated series that aired from 1983-1985,” Smith said in a statement. “This is a continuation of that story. We’re playing with the original mythology and characters, and revisiting and digging deeper into some of the unresolved storylines.”

Mark Hamill leads the voice cast as the iconic villain Skeletor, joining Chris Wood as Prince Adam/He-Man, Game of Thrones star Lena Headey as Evil-Lyn, Buffy the Vampire Slayer’s Sarah Michelle Gellar as Teela, and more.

Smith credits the Mattel line of toys as an influence on the visual aesthetic of the show. The show notably doesn’t stray far from the look and tone of the original series, and will reportedly be sticking to storylines established in the canon, to the joy of old-school fans everywhere.

”Mattel owns this entire vast library of that artwork, so right away we wanted the show to open with classic pieces of that artwork,” said Smith.

Along with the official teaser's realese during Netflix's recently concluded Geeked Week, it was announed that Smith would be hosting an official aftershow special with Revelation executive producer and vice president of content creative at Mattel Television Rob David, and actress Tiffany Smith, who plays Andra in the show.

Netflix’s official synopsis for the show reads: “After a cataclysmic battle between He-Man and Skeletor, Eternia is fractured and the Guardians of Grayskull are scattered. After decades of secrets tore them apart, it’s up to Teela to reunite the broken band of heroes, and solve the mystery of the missing Sword of Power in a race against time to restore Eternia and prevent the end of the universe.”
