Apple iPhone 12 series coming to Smart, Globe via Postpaid plans this December
Here's some good news for all Apple fans out there. The most-awaited iPhone 12 series is coming to the Philippines officially via postpaid plans from Smart and Globe. Both telcos teased the new plans on their social media platforms Monday (Nov. 30).
In an announcement on their Facebook page and Twitter account, Smart Communications stated that the series is coming to its Smart Signature postpaid plans with #Smart5G. Pre-orders will start on Dec.11, 2020.

Meanwhile, Globe also announced on their social media accounts that they will be bringing the iPhone 12 family to its ThePLAN and ThePLATINUM PLAN, with pre-orders starting on Dec. 11, 2020.

Apple unveiled the new iPhone 12 series lineup last October, which includes the iPhone 12, iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12 Pro, and the iPhone 12 Pro Max. The devices sport a new squared-off design, 5nm A14 Bionic Chip, 5G, Ceramic Shield, and MagSafe wireless charging technology and accessories.
All four models feature a new squared-off aluminum body with IP 68 Water and Dust resistance. At the back of the iPhone 12 and 12 Mini are a dual camera set-up of a 12MP f/1.6 main camera and a 12MP f/2.4 ultra-wide camera while at the back of the iPhone 12 Pro is a 12MP f/1.6 main camera, 12MP f/2.4 120-degree ultra-wide camera, 12MP f/2.0 telephoto camera, and a LiDAR sensor. The 12 Pro Max has an exclusive 1.7nm 12MP f/1.6 main camera that has a 47 percent larger sensor compared to the 12 Pro.
Currently, the basic pricing for the latest iPhones ranges from P43,990 for the iPhone 12 Mini (64GB) to P62,990 for the Pro model, with varying prices for the different models depending on the capacity. Apple also unveiled a special Red version where proceeds will go to Global Fund's COVID-19 Response.
