Spotted a familiar face in the cast of new action film ‘Seoul Vibe?’ Here’s where you’ve seen them before

It looks like Seoul Vibe is a masterpiece that’s worthy of a chef’s kiss.

The upcoming Netflix film tells the story of skilled drivers, part of the “Sanggye Supreme Team,” who find themselves involved in a mysterious “slush fund robbery” case. It is set during the Seoul Summer Olympics in 1988.

The star-studded cast includes Yoo Ah-in, Go Kyungpyo, Lee Kyuhyung, Park Juhyun, Ong Seongwoo, Kim Sungkyun, Jung Woongin, and Moon Sori. If you’re wondering why they seem familiar, you’ve probably seen them before in popular K-dramas.

As we count down the days of Seoul Vibe’s premiere, here’s a list of K-dramas, films, and even a K-pop group that feature the cast.

Yoo Ahin

Don’t call yourself a K-drama fan if you haven’t heard about Yoo Ahin. This hunky actor has appeared in many popular series where you’ve probably loved and hated his characters.

The 2016 film Like for Likes is a must-watch if you’re in the mood for something lighthearted. Ahin’s role as Jinwoo is so cute that his face was enough to bring us into a squealing frenzy.

If you want to learn about the Goryeo dynasty and have your heart ripped out, Six Flying Dragons is the K-drama for you. Ahin plays the character Lee Bangwon, a prince who helps establish the Joseon dynasty.

Go Kyungpyo

Go Kyungpyo made us swoon as the kindhearted Sung Sunwoo in Reply 1988. His unrequited love for Sung Bora (Ryu Hyeyoung) is so adorable that we can’t get over the scene where they finally got together.

Lee Kyuhyung

Lee Kyuhyung shot to fame when he played the role of Yoo Hanyang (or Looney) in Prison Playbook, where he is serving his sentence for drug use. It’s hard to forget the heartwrenching scene where his fellow inmates request him to sing his rendition of the classic Korean song Snail

Park Juhyun

Park Juhyun is a rising actress who blew up after her terrifying portrayal of Bae Gyuri in the 2020 series Extracurricular. With her other projects at the moment, it’s impossible to miss out on her stellar acting skills.

Ong Seongwoo

If you’re a K-pop stan, you’ve probably heard of the group Wanna One where Seongwoo was the main dancer and lead vocalist. The group eventually disbanded in 2019 despite its popularity.

Wanna One was formed through the Korean survival reality show Produce 101: Season 2 where Seongwoo ranked fifth.

Kim Seongkyun

Remember Kim Junghwan’s father who kept on cracking “dad jokes” in Reply 1988? The veteran actor has appeared in several K-dramas and films but this was the role that fans remember the most. It’s hard to forget the funny scenes where Seongkyun would shout “Aigoo Sung Sajang” to his family and neighbors.

Jung Woongin

Jung Woongin is one of those Korean actors who seem to never run out of acting gigs. And his portrayal of the scary Moon Taegwang in the 2016 series Monster is proof of his acting skills. There’s something sad about his character since it’s a man who’s corrupted by power during the height of the 1997 financial crisis.

Moon Sori

The 2016 fantasy series Legend of the Blue Sea is a well-loved K-drama because of Lee Minho, Jun Jihyun, and Moon Sori. Sori’s role as Ahn Jinjoo was such a scene-stealer that you’ll look out for her funny expressions in every episode.

As of this writing, the release date of Seoul Vibe is yet to be announced. Even so, we can't wait for the premiere of this action blockbuster on Netflix.
