'Glee' docuseries to highlight controversies and tragedies of the hit musical series

Glee fans are about to be taken back to McKinley High, not for another round of hit musical performances, but to explore the never-before-told stories of the cast, crew members, productions, and other individuals that are part of the series. 

The upcoming three-part docuseries from Ample Entertainment will turn the spotlight on the complicated and difficult subjects that the show and its production experienced firsthand. 

Although not named yet, the series will feature interviews with cast and crew members who will share memories of their time on the show, as well as unheard testimonials from family and friends. 

Some cases to be highlighted in the series are the loss of some cast members and the scandals they got involved with, mean girl rumors, and controversies inside and outside the set. 

The hit series which centered on the stories of the students who became part of their school’s glee club ran for six seasons from 2009 to 2015 and aired more than 100 episodes, which picked up four Primetime Emmy Awards and 18 additional nominations. 

The show created by Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Ian Brennan starred Lea Michele, Matthew Morrison, Jane Lynch, Jayma Mays, Dianna Agron, Chris Colfer, Jessalyn Gilsig, Kevin McHale, Amber Riley, Jenna Ushkowitz, Heather Morris, Darren Criss Melissa Benoist, Chord Overstreet, Harry Shum Jr., Alex Newell, Blake Jenner, Jacob Artist, Melissa Benoist, Becca Tobin, Jayma Mays, as well as the late Mark Salling, Naya Rivera, and Cory Monteith, 

It is set to air on Discovery+, while its premiere date is still yet to be announced.
