Beware of flying phones: You can now 'rage shake' your phone to report issues with Instagram

Do you ever get annoyed when you encounter problems with Instagram? Now, users can report issues they're experiencing in the app by simply shaking their phones.

Instagram head Mosseri announced the new feature, aptly named "rage shake," on Nov. 17 which lets users on the platform report a problem more quickly.

“You can explain exactly what happened, how you ended up in that place, and all of the emotions and feels that you’ve got going on, and we’ll have someone take a look at it,” Mosseri said.

When something's not working the way it's supposed to and you shake the phone while the app is open you will get a pop-up screen asking "Did something go wrong?" There'll be space for you to type in whatever bug you're experiencing.

As of writing, the feature isn't available in the Philippines—yet. When it arrives, you can try shaking your phone while Instagram is open to test the feature, just make sure your grip on your device is tight. You don't want your phone to end up flying.

Aside from the fun new feature, Instagram will finally let users remove one image from a carousel instead of deleting the whole post.
