This flying car will surely change the game of future mobility.

Chinese electronic vehicle maker Xpeng Aeroht, the largest flying car company in Asia, officially launched the flying car model Xpeng X2 in its first public flight.

Witnessed by over 150 attendees, the public took sight of the first flight display at Skydive Dubai after the flying vehicle completed the specific operations risk assessment and achieved a special flying permit from the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority (DCAA).

Reuters reported that the unmanned test flight lasted for 90 minutes, which the manufacturer described as an "important base for the next generation of flying cars."

“XPeng’s X2's public display in Dubai represents a significant milestone for XPeng AeroHT and the international achievement of flying cars,”  Brian Gu, Vice Chairman and President of XPeng said in a media release.

The historic public flight operation was highly supported by the Dubai International Chamber of Commerce.

"The first global public flight of the X2 flying car will change the game of future mobility. The flying car is the epitome of ambition, innovation, and future-oriented vision that has always inspired Dubai and its leadership. Today, we witnessed a historic moment that will define the next 50 years," DICC President and CEO Hassan Al Hashemi said.

XPeng confirmed that they are making a step-by-step process to make the flying car become available in the international market.

The X2 is a complete electric two-seater flying car manufactured by XPENG AEROHT. It has a carbon fiber body and eight rotors designed to soar to altitudes of up to 1,000 m, cruise at up to 130 km/h, and could fly for up to 35 minutes on each charge. X2 will be suitable for future low-altitude and short-distance city flights such as sightseeing and medical transportation, according to the company.
