Wednesday—or the busiest time of the week for many—always calls for a night in by yourself in your good ol’ PJs with some popcorn. Next to searching for awesome finds with 11/11 promos, it’s also a good time to watch Netflix with the relaxing sound of rain. 

If you’re in the hunt for great films you can watch in cold weather, this list of well-loved local and international movies might help.

Alone/Together

Currently part of the top 10 movies on the streaming app, Alone/Together revolves around Christine (Liza Soberano) and Raf (Enrique Gil) who, eight years after their split, decide to bring back the connection they once had with each other.

Based on a Nicholas Sparks novel released in 1996, this 2004 tearjerker follows the love story of Allie (Rachel McAdams) and Noah (Ryan Gosling) set in the 1940s.

Pursuit of Happyness

This inspiring film is about Chris (Will Smith) who tries to get past trying times and works as an unpaid intern for a brokerage firm in his journey to happiness.
