Han So-hee and Song Hye-kyo have reportedly pulled out of their upcoming mystery-thriller drama, The Price of Confession.

First reported by Korean news outlet News1 on Wednesday, May 17, the Korean stars have decided not to push through with the drama after a series of discussions, citing reasons for alleged “differences with the production team.”

In a Soompi report, their respective agencies have briefly commented on the matter, saying that they have yet to verify the news.

Hye-kyo's agency UAA said in a statement, “We are in the process of checking. It is difficult to answer precisely at this moment.”

While So Hee’s agency 9ato Entertainment said: “We also learned about the news that actress Han So Hee’s appearance in The Price of Confession got canceled from the reports. We are currently checking the related information.”

Meanwhile, Studio Dragon, the production company assigned to the series, said that they “do not know anything” about the matter.

“Casting-related matters are handled exclusively by our co-producing company Production H. We do not know anything in this regard.”

For their part, a source from Production H said that they are “trying to figure out” the matter and assured fans to give further details once settled.

“[The drama] is a fairly large project, and we were in the process of collecting various opinions. We will take some time to reorganize things for the time being, and we will provide updates as soon as they are sorted out.”

The making of the mystery-thriller series The Price of Confession was first announced in November 2022. According to the reports, Hye-kyo is supposed to play the role of an art teacher named Ahn Yoon Soo, while So-hee will take on the role of Mo-eun.

The two actresses also shared a teaser of the upcoming drama on their Instagram accounts, making fans excited for the anticipated drama series.

Following the reports, the two actresses continued to interact on Instagram, where So-hee commented on Hye-kyo's latest Instagram post, saying “Still mine.”

Hye-kyo recently starred in a hit Korean drama The Glory. She is also known for her roles in Encounter, Descendants of the Sun, and Full House, among others. So-hee, on the other hand, is known for her roles in Nevertheless, The World of the Married, and My Name, among others.
