A new trailer for the fourth installment of the neo-noir action thriller John Wick is here.

The two-minute trailer opens with the titular assassin, portrayed by Keanu Reeves, visiting a church and lighting a candle. He speaks about his late wife with Caine, the franchise's new character portrayed by Donnie Yen of Ip Man fame.

The solemn exchange then transitions to his conversation with Winston (Ian McShane), the owner of assassin establishment New York Continental Hotel.

Winston, who appears to have "betrayed" him at the tail-end of Chapter 3: Parabellum, informs him about the seeming new big bad, the Marquis de Gramont, portrayed by Bill Skarsgård who's known for his role as Pennywise in It. Winston advises John to challenge the Marquis de Gramont to a single combat, as a "way out."

“A new day is dawning. New ideas. New rules. New management," the Marquis de Gramont says.

John also has a dialog with the Bowery King, portrayed by Reeves's The Matrix co-star Laurence Fishburne, who gives him a new suit—and a new gun upon his request.

The trailer soon becomes filled with adrenaline. Aside from a gun fight with several goons, John also shoots at someone while drifting a doorless muscle car. He also chases a group of men in a horseback ride while shooting at them. He tries to behead somebody with nunchucks.

It also shows scenes from Paris in France, as well as an aggressive dog that's reminiscent of the one owned by Sofia (Halle Berry) in Parabellum.

Other new faces in the franchise include Hiroyuki Sanada of The Last Samurai and Mortal Kombat, as well as pop singer Rina Sawayama. The Continental's concierge Charon, played by Lance Reddick, also makes an appearance.

John Wick: Chapter 4 will hit American theaters on March 24, 2023. Screening date for the Philippines has yet to be announced.
