Nintendo finally adds Bluetooth audio pairing to Nintendo Switch in latest update
Nintendo Switch fans can now finally connect their Bluetooth audio devices to their treasured console after the game company’s latest firmware update.
Fans have long been clamoring Nintendo to add a bluetooth feature for wireless audio devices as since the Switch launched in 2017, it did not ever support Bluetooth pairing to audio devices.
But Switch owners can now update their Switch to the latest software so that they can pair with their True Wireless Stereo devices.
Once the update is done, they can find the “Bluetooth Audio” option in the System Setting of their Switch. Select the “Pair Device” to search for an available Bluetooth audio device and it will automatically pair to one available device when found.

There are limitations, however, with the new Bluetooth feature. According to the Nintendo support article, The switch can only be paired to one Bluetooth audio device at a time, but it can save up to 10 audio devices on the console system.
When paired to a Bluetooth audio device, note that up to two wireless controllers can only connect to the Switch. The Switch will automatically disconnect the Bluetooth audio device if there are more than two wireless controllers connected to the console.
Lastly, Bluetooth microphones are not compatible with the latest firmware update. Even the microphones from the Bluetooth audio devices cannot be used for the voice chat features in most Nintendo games.
Expect that there will be an audio latency on your Bluetooth audio device while playing as it is common for wireless audio devices to have slight delays from the audio output depending on the Bluetooth device.
