From playing the Falcon in the Avengers, Anthony Mackie is set to grace screens as an action hero once more.

Netflix has just dropped an 84-second trailer for Mackie’s latest sci-fi action thriller Outside the Wire. The movie follows the adventures of an android officer who works with a drone pilot to stop a global catastrophe.

The short clip of Outside the Wire promises plenty of high-octane action courtesy of Mackie who shows off the incredible abilities of his android body. He then proceeds to beat up a number of villains in a variety of ways: from fast-paced hand-to-hand combat, classic gunfights, chase scenes and big explosions.

Here’s the short synopsis:

Set in the future, a disgraced drone pilot is sent into a deadly militarized zone where he finds himself working under the command of a top-secret android officer. Together, the duo must embark in a race against time locate a doomsday device before the insurgents do.

Outside the Wire is directed by Mikael Håfström, while the script is written by Alice Allemano, Arash Amel, Rowan Athale and Rob Yescombe. The film stars Mackie as android military officer Harp, Damson Idris as drone pilot Leo, along with Enzo Cilenti, Emily Beecham, Michael Kelly, and Pilou Asbæk in the supporting roles.

Outside the Wire streams on Netflix starting Jan. 15, 2021.
